This piece is named after a true force of nature, Mardi Love @trust_passing on Instagram, who made me fall in love with fusion bellydance. Discovering this new world was a turning point for me, both personally & artistically, so maybe that is why the Mardi turband holds a special place in my heart. The headband is created with 98% repurposed materials, hand placed gun metal rhinestones set in a pattern to draw the thoughts to the assiut fabric, a fabric woven with a mix of metal threads in beautiful patterns.
